The N4R-C150 robot, better known as Narciso (Narcissus), was a discontinued model of Myth Inc. robotics company, sited in Greece. It was a very useful model, but a failure in their processor made that whenever the robot saw his reflected image on some surface, he started to act like a complete idiot.
I had this sketch of a robot and didn't know what to do with it... Finally I decided to paint an image based on Caravaggio's 'Narcissus'.
If you like it, let me know. Cova.

You know, this is so much better than any lifelike portrait you do or any of those things. This is your imagination, your mind telling us what it sees, which I appreciate way better than copying someone's portrait
The only problems I have with this painting is a. the ripples aren't very realistic. Ripples are spread more widely and gently usually.. you should definitely look at some references . b. I would have loved to see some details, such as little flowers and shrubbery - just something to give this image another edge and contrast the robot.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

There's always a bright side to life. It's just a matter of not being too colourblind to be able to see it.
